Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by! I always enjoy your insights. Carrie and I have done without cable and just used locals before, but that was B.C. (before children).

Now, the kiddos are loving NetFlix because there are no commercials. The more I hear them say that the more I enjoy it because I do not hear them say, "I want that" or "I need that."

We are looking forward to our new journey.

Thanks again for stopping by!

We've been without cable or satellite for something like 8 years now. I'll be honest that there are times I wish we still had certain shows. For one, our rabbit ears won't even pick up ABC so we can't watch any of their shows, and I wouldn't mind home and garden shows. Dan wishes he could watch more sports! :) But for the most part I don't miss it much. And just as you've observed, we watch A LOT less TV AND we're spending a lot less money!
Instead of doing Netflix, we just watch movies from Redbox or the library. The library also has some TV shows on DVD that we've enjoyed.
I definitely think you will be glad you got rid of cable.
