Sermon Series on Prayer – The Introduction
“Prayer is a mighty instrument, not for getting man’s will done in Heaven, but for getting God’s will done on earth.”
–Robert Law
Prayer is many times taken for granted because many realize God will always listen to what their troubles, needs and wants might be. However, our prayer life is a mirror image of our relationship with God. If we believe God is a vengeful and angry God, our prayers will be filled with many requests for mercy and another chance. If we believe our God is a gracious God blessing us in ways we do not deserve, our prayers will be filled is thankfulness and awe in the sight of God. I believe there is a powerful balance needed in our lives to enhance our prayer life even more.
Simple put, I describe prayer as:
-
(P)owerful
-
(R)esponses
-
(A)ttesting to
-
(Y)our
-
(E)verlasting
-
(R)elationship
