When you DON’T see the preacher…

When you DON’T see the preacher…be glad. There is someone else who needed him today.

  • It might be a member struggling with sin they cannot handle alone and he is there to aid them in their struggle.
  • It might be a husband and wife on the brink of divorce and he is there to provide a listening ear and advice.
  • It might be a teenager who is needing someone to talk to because peer pressure is becoming too much.
  • It might be someone in the hospital that no one knows.
  • It might be a sinner in need of salvation.
  • It might be a non-member in need of counseling who is desperately searching for the answer to life.
  • It might be someone who has no one else to talk too and needs a listening ear.
  • It might be his own family.

When you DON’T see the preacher…be glad. There is something he needed to do today.

  • It might be he needed to prepare for the sermon he is going to present on Sunday morning.
  • It might be he needed to study for Bible class and the difficult topic he was about to encounter.
  • It might be that letter he is struggling to write for a member dealing with a situation.
  • It might be the notes he was making to visitors who attended on Sunday.
  • It might be he needed some rest because he had been up all night with a family searching for answers.
  • It might be he needed to make some phone calls to encourage members who have been missing service.
  • It might be he needed some time to pray for the church, his ministry and his family.

When you DON’T see the preacher…be glad. He knew you would be ok.

Just my thoughts,
