Fearless – A Book Review
Your worries rise with each news story telling of a global crisis. Your fears seem to be coming true as you watch your years of saving for a retirement begin to vanish before your eyes. Your stomach begins to turn and swirl as sweat drops form on your forehead. You worry for your family and children. Your mind focuses more your fears and you begin to ask, “What will happen when my children in ten years? Our nation is going broke, the economy is sinking like the Titanic. What could be next?”![]()
In his newest book, Max Lucado takes you on a “fearless” journey. From the problems of the physical world to the hope of the heavenly, Mr. Lucado’s words will echo through your mind – challenging you to stop focusing on the physical and set your mind on things of God.
With many of our fears never coming true and other fears out of our hands, Mr. Lucado examines the actions of Jesus and the words from the Sacred Text to allow us a glimpse into the Creator. Since God is the Creator, he cares about each person. As a father cares for his children, the True Father cares for His children.
For God, the scary monsters of our childhood, the troubling economy, the growing unemployment lines and the fears of the future are nothing comparing to His promises and words. The words of the Father should be the focus of our future; for faith in the future brings power in the present.
Grab a cup of coffee and prepare for a fantastic read as you being the Fearless journey. The time will pass, but your mind will be fixated on the words of hope and fearlessness.

Personal Reflection: While I enjoy Mr. Lucado’s words and efforts to encourage many to put their focus on the Creator and Almighty, I will add that he and I disagree on the terms of salvation outlined in God’s Word. Since this is the case, it does not hinder me from reading his words and finding encouragement and hope in troubling times. Even when I preach, I encourage everyone to search the scriptures to see what is the truth from the Father. (For more information, you may contact me at the Contact Page above.)
My God bless your life in Him today,
