Sunday’s Sermon and Class Lessons
Sunday brought a full day and a good one. For the first time in several months I had three lessons to present on Sunday; two Bible classes and the sermon. A day like that brings exhaustion after it is all said and done, but the rewards are beyond imagination. I thoroughly enjoy the time I have to present lessons to assist others in improving their lives and spiritual efforts.
Below is a copy of the morning sermon – “A View of the Cross Through the Eyes of the Governor.” I took a moment to give a different perspective of the cross through the eyes of Pilate; a man influenced by people, politics and his wife. Pilate had a major choices to make and he folded to the world. As Christians, do we have a choice to make and fold to the world? Give it some thought.
Sunday Morning’s Bible class was titled, “Righteousness in the Workplace.” Living a Christian life while residing in the world, is hard. Thanks to the Lord for providing the comfort and strength we need to rely on Him and cast our burdens and cares to Him. (1 Peter 5.7) Give it a look and see how it can help you.
Sunday afternoon brought a discussion on Jesus based on Colossians 1:15-23.
Just some thoughts for today,
Chris
