A Sermon Outline on Titus 3.4-7
Every once in a while I will put together a sermon outline and store it away for future use. This time, a friend asked if I would put together a quick lesson on Titus 3.4-7 and I obliged. I wanted to share it with you in hopes it might help you in your studies.
Consider this outline a “Sermon Starter.” Lord willing, next year I will begin a sermon starter page to help you in our studies! Let me know what you think!
Enjoy!
Chris

I Now Confidently Expect…
Titus 3.4-7
Introduction:
- The word hope is used in thousands of ways today, many of which are simple wishing and not really the hope of which the Bible speaks.
- Hope is defined as “confident expectation;” so therefore, as we hope, we confidently expect things to happen.
- The Bible further tells Christians they may boldly approach the throne of grace. (Hebrews 4.16)
Part #1 – The Savior’s Appearing
- Jesus appeared on Earth having left heaven to live a life like ours. (Philippians 2.5-7)
- Living the life we live, has allowed Jesus to sympathize with our weaknesses. (Hebrews 4.15)
- True love is not in words, tru love is in actions. (See John 3.16)
- God not only told the world He loved us, he acted -> He GAVE!
Part #2 – We are Saved, Not by Us, but by HIM!
- While we were still sinners, God sent Christ to die for us. (Romans 5.8)
- Christ bore our sins on His body (Isaiah 53).
- He was cursed on the tree, so we might live. (Galatians 3.13. 14)
- Without Christ, the world would not be saved.
- He is the mediator of a better coveneant and the Savior of it. (Hebrews 9.15)
- We are not saved by our works so anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2.8,9; Titus 3.5)
- However, our actions are those which accompany our faith and salvation. (James 2.14-26)
- We act (work) not because we must, but because we are saved!
Part #3 – Our Powerful Blessings
- Our lives are blessed if we are in Christ. (Ephesians 1.3)
- The Father of Lights bestows His power gifts on our lives. (James 1.17)
- We are justified by grace, because it is the grace of a sacrificing Savior and a Loving Father
- Grace ->
- G – God’s
- R – Riches
- A – At
- C – Christ’s
- E – Expense
