31 Days with Jesus
When you open the Gospel of John, you’re greeted with a powerful truth: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) Before anything else existed, Jesus was there—eternal, divine, and active. He’s not just a character in the story; He’s the Creator behind it all.

John 1:1-34 invites us to see Jesus as the Word through whom everything was made. The same Jesus who walked the dusty roads of Galilee is the One who spoke light into darkness and order into chaos. His fingerprints are on every sunrise, every heartbeat, and every new beginning. When we realize that Jesus is not only our Savior but also our Creator, it changes how we see ourselves and our world.

This truth brings hope to every new start. Jesus, who created the universe, is more than able to create something new in us. Whether you’re facing a fresh opportunity or a daunting challenge, you can trust that the One who made all things can remake your heart, renew your mind, and restore your purpose.

John the Baptist’s testimony in this passage reminds us that Jesus is the true Light, shining in the darkness. No matter how dark things may seem, His light cannot be overcome. When we follow Jesus, we’re walking with the One who brings life, light, and hope into every situation.

As you reflect on Jesus’ role in creation, let it motivate you to trust Him with your own beginnings. He’s still in the business of creating beauty from brokenness and hope from despair.

Four Points to Remember:
  • Jesus was present and active at the very beginning of creation—He is eternal and divine.
  • The same power that created the universe can create new beginnings in your life.
  • Jesus is the true Light who overcomes darkness and brings hope.
  • Trusting Jesus with your future means believing He can make all things new, no matter where you start.
