31 Days with Jesus
Before the manger, before the shepherds and angels, before Mary and Joseph—Jesus was. The story of Jesus doesn’t begin in Bethlehem; it stretches far beyond, echoing through the prophecies of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah. These ancient voices remind us that God’s plan for redemption was set in motion long before we ever needed it.

Isaiah 53 paints a vivid picture of the suffering servant—one who would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows. Jeremiah 23:5-6 promises a righteous Branch from David’s line, a King who would bring true justice and safety. Zechariah 11:12-13 foreshadows the betrayal and the price paid for the Good Shepherd. Each of these prophecies points directly to Jesus, revealing that His coming was not a random event, but the fulfillment of a loving, intentional plan.

When we reflect on Christ’s pre-existence, we’re reminded that Jesus is not just a part of God’s story—He is the Author. He was with God in the beginning, present before creation, and actively involved in the unfolding of history. This truth brings comfort and confidence: if God could orchestrate centuries of prophecy to bring Jesus into the world, He can certainly work out His purpose in our lives.

As you begin this journey through 31 days with Jesus, let today be a reminder that your faith is grounded in a God who plans, prepares, and fulfills His promises. Jesus’ story is your story—a story written by a loving hand, long before you took your first breath.

Four Points to Remember

  • God’s plan for redemption began long before Jesus’ birth—He was always part of the story.
  • The prophecies of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah reveal a Savior who would suffer, rule, and redeem.
  • Jesus’ pre-existence shows us that He is the Author of our faith and our future.
  • If God can fulfill His promises across centuries, He can be trusted with your life today.
