31 Days with Jesus
John 2:1-11 tells the story of Jesus’ first recorded miracle—turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana. What began as a potential embarrassment for the hosts became a moment of celebration and awe, all because Jesus was present and willing to help.

At first glance, this miracle might seem small compared to healing the sick or raising the dead. But it reveals something powerful about Jesus’ character: He cares about our everyday needs and delights in bringing joy to our lives. When the wine ran out, Mary turned to Jesus with trust, and He responded with compassion and quiet authority.

Jesus didn’t just provide any wine—He provided the best. He transformed what was ordinary (water) into something extraordinary (wine), blessing the entire celebration. This miracle reminds us that nothing is too small or insignificant for Jesus to notice. He is able to take the routine moments of our lives and fill them with His presence and abundance.

When we invite Jesus into our daily circumstances, we open the door for transformation. He meets us where we are, takes what we have, and does more than we could ask or imagine. Even when we face needs or disappointments, Jesus is ready to work in ways we might not expect.

As you reflect on the miracle at Cana, consider how Jesus can transform the ordinary parts of your life. Trust Him with your needs, and be open to the unexpected ways He brings joy and blessing.

Four Points to Remember:
  • Jesus cares about every detail of our lives, big or small.
  • He can transform ordinary moments into extraordinary blessings.
  • Trusting Jesus with our needs opens the door for miracles.
  • Invite Jesus into your daily life—He delights in bringing joy and abundance.
