31 Days with Jesus
Matthew 26:17-35, Mark 14:12-31, Luke 22:7-38, and John 13:1–16:33 recount the night Jesus shared the Passover meal with His disciples. In this intimate setting, Jesus took bread and wine, gave thanks, and offered them as symbols of His body and blood—soon to be given for the world. “Do this in remembrance of me,” He said, inviting His friends (and all who would follow) to remember His sacrifice and draw strength from it.

The Lord’s Supper is more than a ritual; it’s a moment to pause, reflect, and receive grace. Around that table, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, taught them about servant leadership, and predicted both betrayal and denial. Yet, He also promised hope, comfort, and a new covenant sealed by His love.

Each time we take communion, we’re reminded that Jesus gave everything so we could be reconciled to God. We remember that His love covers our failures and His sacrifice brings us peace. Communion is an anchor in the storms of life—a reminder that we are never alone, and that God’s love is stronger than our sin or sorrow.

As you reflect on the Lord’s Supper, let it move you to gratitude, humility, and renewed commitment. Remember Jesus’ love, receive His forgiveness, and let His example guide the way you serve others.

Four Points to Remember:
  • The Lord’s Supper is a powerful reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice and ongoing presence in our lives.
  • Communion invites us to receive God’s grace, forgiveness, and peace.
  • Jesus calls us to remember, reflect, and live out His love in practical ways.
  • Every time we share in communion, we declare our hope in Christ and unity with His followers.
